B2b Interactive Marketing, Inc. http://www.b2b-im.com Julia Yun Hsia knows marketing inside and out—literally. Of course she can design and generate marketing collateral, develop strategies that include social media, and work with both clients and with in-house staff. But she also adds to her value by offering a depth of technical experience that includes video editing, pre–press production, database and web development skills, and the administrative expertise that makes it all seem easy. In fact, her training is in Industrial Technology, and Graphic Communication Technology. Julia first encountered the field through a college course in graphic communications. She took the course almost on a lark—and found she loved it! “I liked the technical, hands-on aspect of the work,” she explains. “I got a chance to use the computer, design something, and see how things are made. And I liked creating something in the English language, which was new to me at the time.” After perfecting her skills through work as a retoucher and graphic production artist, Julia began tackling marketing projects. Many years into her specialty, she continues to experience a thrill from learning trade secrets. “People don’t realize the work that goes into marketing,” Julia confides. “And I like that. It may have been the reason I don’t take any project—or any person—at face value. I know that what we see is not always what it seems.” This deeper awareness is the reason why Julia’s work communicates with clients on economic, social, and emotional levels. She understands what you want to say to new and existing clients—and translates the message so it touches their hearts and minds.
